Glasgow College of Building and Printing
For many years Glasgow College has provided training and qualifications for glass related occupations in Glazing and Decorative Glasswork.
The college is an approved centre offering GQA SVQs for Glaziers, Installers, Glass Processors and Fabricators.
For young people new to the sector, the college provides underpinning knowledge and practical skill training linked to the SVQ standards and qualifications.
As a GQA centre, the college also provides work based SVQ assessment and verification services for apprentices and experienced workers.
The centre is currently working with established employees at a number of locations and is providing CSCS profiling services to the sector.
John Halpin, the Centre Co-ordinator, recognises the need to build upon the GCBPs wealth of experience to satisfy the new education, training and competence requirements of Scotland
