Bogus Colleges

Ofqual continue to help the UK Border Agency, police forces and trading standards offices around the country investigate bogus colleges that facilitate obtaining fraudulent student visas and thus enable illegal immigration.

Ofqual take the opportunity to remind individuals that the old DIUS register of colleges is no longer valid and should not be used as a means of checking centre applications. They ask that care should be taken when dealing with an application from a centre that has indicated that overseas students are likely to form a significant proportion of the candidates.
