GQA and BS EN ISO 9001:2008

GQA has held ISO 9001 status for some years. In 2008 the British standard was updated and became BS EN ISO 9001: 2008.

The GQA external annual review takes place in autumn each year and the decision was taken to work towards achievement of the new 2008 standard. GQA’s Administration team headed by Caroline Kershaw and ably assisted by Emma Barnsley, undertook the necessary review of GQA systems and procedure to link to the 2008 amendments.

The QMS External Auditor subsequently visited GQA in October 2009 and the auditing process was successfully completed with plaudits being given for the GQA team efforts. GQA is now one of the 2% of companies who have achieved BS EN ISO 9001:2008.
