Point and Speak Text Reader
Intel has launched a handheld reader in the UK and US to help people with vision problems or dyslexia. Using a built-in high-resolution camera, the Intel Reader allows users to capture a section of printed text, which it converts to digital text that can then be reproduced on screen and repeated via voice synthesis (the unit has an earphone jack for more personal audio).
